Personal loss

Jagjit Singh is no more physically. Many artists have demised but today it seems a personal loss. This is first time that I am so bothered about a celebrities demise. I guess its the attachment for him in the sad/down moments. He glorified the sadness, made post-breakup and other sad situations musically beautiful. This post is not an obituary or tribute. This is about the connection that people [do not read fans] who has heard and understood ghazals have for him. He was the reason for my understanding of poetry
tu mujhko aur main tujhko samjhaun kya, dil deewana tera bhi hai mera bhi.
Lyrically rich is term that i associate with this music, with due to thanks to awesome poets and lyricist like Gulzar sahab, Javed Akhtar and other lesser known ones. The tappe he sang with his wife Chitra ji are super fun. Hey Ram is much serene and devotional. Like others he sang poems of Ghalib, Kabir and Meer. I came to know about these people by his ghazals. Sarfarosh's "hoshwalon ko khabar" has cult following as "pehla nasha", by this i mean almost everyone around like these songs. I started listening to him since school days, first bought his album Saher. After listening to this album backtracked all his non-film music. Feeling sad right now[ yes, everyone is saying it], cant help it. Would just keep on listening his ghazals and songs. Thats it.

Hard time for symbian and nokia fans :(

Hey all..
In the timeline of a nokia + symbian fanboy’s life, these last 2 years have been pretty tough. Android and iOS are trending everywhere. pheww.. they are soaking up all the lime light. None of the Symbian OS updates have been fruitful for nokia in quite some time. Sony and Motorola have jumped on the Android wagon [and that’s good], after all android is free, open source [not to say pretty cool too].
But what went wrong for nokia.. thought a lot about it and i concluded- HARDWARE is the issue. they need to put some heavy hardware to boost up the things alongwith a NEAT OS [what was meego anyways ;)]. Unlike samsung’s BADA OS, what a waste of good h/w [1Ghz processor, Good graphics engine and shitty OS].
Nokia is still banking on Symbian, after all other companies have left interest in it. Last one was Symbian 3 [OCT 2010] and its still kicked about making it better. Nokia is going to make some announcement on 12th of April about Symbian.
Lets see if it something worthy !!

Signing off,
Harsh
